With an extensive history of senior leadership positions in various financial companies, including nearly 15 years with CNL-affiliated entities, Mr. Bhavsar possesses a deep understanding of debt and capital markets.

Mr. Bhavsar is also well-versed in complex federal and state regulatory reporting environments. As a chief financial officer for over 18 years, he successfully navigated through exhaustive reporting and oversight requirements by the FDIC, Federal Reserve and various state banking regulators. Mr. Bhavsar was the lead independent director and head of the Audit Committee of Currency Exchange International, Corp., an exchange listed bank holding company where he reviewed and signed off on public financial statements and filings.

Mr. Bhavsar also served as chairman of the board of Exchange Bank of Canada (EBC) and president of JMS Holdings, LLC. He was executive vice president of Valley National Bank as well as executive vice president and chief financial officer of CNLBank, Valley National’s predecessor. During his tenure with CNLBank, Mr. Bhavsar managed an investment portfolio in aggregate of $400 million, which included non-government backed securities and other credit investments. Mr. Bhavsar previously was executive vice president, chief operating officer and chief financial officer of Florida Choice Bank, and senior audit manager of Hacker Johnson Cohen and Grieb, a specialized Accounting and Auditing firm for state and regional banks. Mr. Bhavsar is also a director of Currency Exchange International Corp., EBC’s parent company.

Mr. Bhavsar received a Bachelor of Science and a Masters in Accounting from the University of Florida. He is also a graduate of the Banking School at the University of Virginia.
